Happy Halloween!!

My cute girls had a few different opportunities to wear Halloween costumes this year.  Brooke and Autumn had an Activity Days Halloween activity, then we had the ward Trunk-or-Treat, then Ciera and Chloe had the Youth Halloween dance, then we had Halloween night!  There was a lot of dressing up, and my girls were all very cute!  They got a ton of candy... which, at the rate they eat it, will be gone before next week! Pumpkin carving in Texas can only happen a day or two before Halloween, or the pumpkins rot!  So, on October 30, we carved our Jack-o-lanterns.  All three younger girls made emoji faces, and Ciera made a werecat.  They all turned out cute!

Triathlete!

The Laurel class (minus just a couple of girls) did a mini-triathalon on Saturday morning. They swam 16 lengths of a pool (in one of the Laurel's backyard), biked 3 miles, and then ran 1 mile. Ciera finished in about 36 minutes total... I am super proud of her! (It was as chilly morning, and the water was cold!)

Happy Birthday Dave!

My sweetheart is 41 years young today!  I love him... He is the best man that I know.  He is a super dad, husband, and friend.  He is a wonderful teacher and servant of the Lord.  I am so glad that he was born!  The girls and I made him cards and got him some gifts that he opened in the morning before work.  I stopped off on my way to work at his office and brought him a personalized mug that was filed with kisses, and some balloons.  That evening we went to TCBY (new in downtown Wylie) for his birthday dessert.  We sure love Dave!  Happy birthday, my love!

Tanner Teeth

Chloe got her braces off while the Hamblins were here... she is so cute!  Her teeth look so great!  Autumn also had an appointment, but they just gave her new wires. One of her teeth was really loose, so apparently they didn't attach it to the wire.  That evening, she pulled it out!  It still had a bracket on it, so she said that the tooth fairy would give her more money for it! :)

Hamners Unite!

The Hamblin family came for a visit Wednesday through Saturday... It was so fun to get together, if even only for a couple days!  We played lots of games, ate lots of food, and stayed up way too late every night!  We went to the zoo in Dallas one day, and then took them to eat at Whataburger for dinner.  The baby elephant is out with his mom at the zoo... and he is so cute!  We had a lot of fun, and the weather was perfect for their visit!  I think they need to come more often!

Fall Choir Concert

Chloe had her first concert of the year and it was really great.  I can tell that choir in high school is going to be good for her... she has a great talent!  They sounded great, and ended with all of the choirs singing "God Bless America" together.  It got me a little teary, I'm not gonna lie!  Chloe is the tallest girl in her section... and so beautiful up there! (She gets self conscious about her height... I told her to just own it!)

Crafty Pumpkins

Dave made me some pallet pumpkins, and then I painted them... I loved them so much, that I had him make some more!  Now I have some inside, AND outside! Happy fall y'all!
