Random Fun

At the start of summer, we did a lot of hanging out and having fun.  The girls really are creative and have a lot of fun together.  Ciera got some glasses with a mustache attached and the girls had a lot of fun trying it on.  Brooke and Autumn did a "play" for me one day.  Brooke was a flower and Autumn was the sun.  She kept running by and "shining" on Brooke to make her grow.
For Young Women night one week, the girls had to choose someone to dress as for a photo shoot.  Ciera was Emma Smith, the wife of Joseph Smith who was the first prophet and President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She looked really great!  Chloe kool-aid dyed the ends of her hair green.  It lasted a few days and then was washed out... she really liked it a lot.   That was just the start of our summer!  The month of June went by so quickly!

Sixteen Years and Counting...

I can't believe that I have been married for 16 years!  They have been the best years of my life and I couldn't have asked for a better husband!  I love my sweetheart Dave so much and I look forward to spending eternity with him!

Summer Kick-off Party at the Wylie Library

On Friday, we went to the Wylie Library for their Summer Kick-off.  It was from 9 to noon, and since it was expected to be hot and crowded, we got there right at 9:00.  It was starting to get hot already, and almost everything was outside.  We did the outside stuff first (Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Bounce House) and by that point we were all so sweaty and hot, we decided to go inside to get a sno-cone and make bead bracelets.  They also had reps from various services (fire department, police department, library, etc) handing out stuff to the kiddos.  It is always a fun (but hot) time, and the Wylie Library does such a great job.  They have fun activities all summer long... and they are all inside (bonus!!)!  Happy Summer!!

The best...

I am married to the best man in the world.  I love Dave so much, and I love how much he loves me and our girls.  He is a wonderful husband and daddy...

It's Finally Summer!

During our first week of summer, we spent time at the pool in our friend's neighborhood, and we took a day outing to the Dallas Arboretum.  We took a picnic lunch and walked around for a couple of hours enjoying the flowers and the EXTREME heat!  After lunch, running through a fountain, and walking a bit more, we decided it was too hot and so we left.  I was able to get some good pictures of the girls though; they did a great job sitting for me to snap a few pictures (even if it felt like a million degrees)!

Brooke's Day to Shine

Tuesday was the Second Grade awards day...
Brooke ended the year on such a high note.  She got Principal's Club for the fourth time this year (95% or above in all subjects), and she got a M & M's award from her teacher (for Magnificent and Marvelous Manners).  Brooke got to go on a Principal's club lunch trip last week Friday to Chuck E. Cheese with her principal and all the other kids that got 2 or more Principal's Club awards during the year.  She had so much fun.  She did so well this year in school, that she was chosen to be in the Advanced Placement class for 3rd grade.  Next year is the first year that Wylie ISD is trying this new advanced cluster group program for 2nd grade and over.  We are so proud of our Brooke!

Our little Graduate!

On Monday, Autumn had her end-of-the-year awards and received her Kindergarten Diploma.  I was so super proud of her for how well she did this year.  She learned so much and grew tremendously.  She was so excited during the awards ceremony, she kept turning around and looking at me with a big smile.  I loved it!

We are so proud of Autumn!  Now, on to first grade!
