Goodbye 2015!

For New Year's Eve,  Dave and I took the girls to a Hibachi Grill for lunch.  Brooke and Autumn had never been to one before, and it was fun to watch them watch the chef!  He was pretty good, and did the flaming train onion, which Autumn liked.  He didn't play with the customers as much as others we've been to... he didn't even try to toss shrimp into anyone's mouth! :)  Overall it was a really fun lunch, and one that the girls will remember for a long time!



I am so thankful for the year we had this year.  2015 was as great year!  We moved into our beautiful home, the girls all have enjoyed success in school, Dave and I are happy with work, and our family is happy, healthy, and we love each other!  Here's to a wonderful 2016!

Christmas Day!

I love Christmas!  My sweet girls (who had been up forever!), let Dave and I sleep until 5:50, and then they couldn't stand it any longer!  We got up, and opened gifts... everyone was very happy with everything!  I made Grandma Tanner's butter horns & cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  After opening the packages of the toys, Dave and I went back to sleep for a little bit.  We spent the day, after a snooze, with each other... which was so nice.  For dinner, we had food from England for our chosen country.  We had fish & chips, and trifle for dessert.  It was fun, and yummy!  I really love my family!













It was nice to focus a lot this season on our Savior, which is the whole reason to celebrate Christmas!  We were able to do service for others, read scriptures about the Savior and his birth, draw pictures of the Nativity, watch movies and listen to music about the Savior, have discussions about Him, and spend a lot of time together.  I love my Savior and His gospel!

Christmas Eve Fun

For Christmas Eve, we went out to the Heard to hike around for a while.  It was really beautiful!  The weather was perfect, and it was really enjoyable!  After we got home, I made the clam chowder and bread bowls for our Christmas Eve meal, which turned out really yummy!  For our program, Autumn, Brooke, and Chloe all read stories, and then Ciera sang a hymn in Spanish.  I read "The Red Sweater", like every year, and Dave read Grandpa Tanner's story.  It was a really great evening.  Santa came early and brought us all Nerf guns, so we played around with them for a while, having duels, before it was time to hop into bed.  I love spending the Christmas season with my sweet little family!

Christmas Cheer and Bowling and Driving (Oh My!)

Chloe's Pop Choir did an elementary school tour for Christmas, and Chloe got to sing a duet with her friend.  They did "The Christmas Song".  It was really great!   She got to go to Autumn's school (and I got to see her there), and she went to Brooke's school later in the day.  She did so good!


One day over break, we went bowling with our friends, the Dennys and the Fraughtons.  It was really fun!  (Even though I realized how terrible I am at bowling!) It is great having good friends to hang out with!  And, yes, there are only 2 boys in all those kiddos!













Oh, and Ciera got her Driver's Permit!  AAAAAAAHHHHHH!  Clear the roads!  Just kidding... sort of! :)

Christmas Events

We had a lot of Christmas events to attend at the start of December.  We had our Ward Christmas party, and we had the Provident work Christmas party.  They were both fun, and we all had a good time at both.  Santa showed up at the work party, and all the girls got Christmas gifts.
Chloe had a couple of Choir events, which were nice.  We had the Stake Christmas concert, which Ciera, Chloe, and I all participated in.  It was really nice to sing with the girls too!  We also all sang in the ward choir for the Christmas program.  The Christmas program at church was the week after the wards' boundaries changed and we formed a new Wylie 4th ward, so it was a little tricky getting all the people to sing with the choirs they had practiced with.  We, luckily, just had to sing in our own ward.  Our Christmas celebrations were great all month, and it really helped us to feel the Spirit of the season!

HaPpY BiRtHDaY AuTuMn SuSaN!

I can't believe that my little baby is 9 years old! She had a fun-filled birthday!  Dave got to volunteer in her school as the "Watch Dog" after she opened her presents in the morning before school.  I brought lunch to school like I always do, so Dave, Autumn and I got to all eat it together!  In the evening, we took Autumn to her daddy-mommy-daughter date to see "The Good Dinosaur" and have dinner at the movie theater.  After the movie, we came back for cake and ice cream with the family. It was super fun!  One of the things Autumn wanted was a Project MC2 science kit... which we got her.  She has done some of the experiments already, and really likes it!

Deck the Halls and Bake the Treats!

We got the house all decorated for Christmas, and made all our Christmas treats.  Our list of baking is super long, and it is a very overwhelming task, but with everyone working together it got done pretty quickly!  I love my house, and the Christmas cheer in it now!
