Grandparent Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Elvester came for a week visit!  They flew in, and I picked them up at the airport and brought them to our house (first time for Grandpa!) to see the girls.  We had a really fun week hanging out, going to the kids summer movies (where Grandpa and Grandma bought the girls treats every time!), eating out at restaurants, and just spending time together.  Grandma had made each of the girls an apron, which were so cute!  I am so grateful that they get to come visit us as often as they do!  I love that my girls have a relationship with their grandparents! (These pics might be a bit fuzzy... I took pictures of the pictures Grandma had printed of their trip!)

Ciera decided to cut her hair all off!  I kept asking to make sure that she was really sure she wanted to do it... I was afraid she would change her mind after it was too late.  But... she did it!

Happy Anniversary My Love!

Dave and I have been married 19 years now!  It is so hard to believe.  It seems like we were just newlyweds, but at the same time, we have so many blessings to call ours since we were married!  I love this man with all my heart, and look forward to eternity!

Father's Day

Dave is the best dad in the world!  We love him tremendously.  For Father's day dinner, we made French Dip sandwiches, and had Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert.  It was all delicious!  We love you Dave (Dad)! Happy Father's Day!

Ciera's First Concert and Trash Creations!

Dave and I got Ciera tickets for her and us to go see The Avett Brothers in concert for her birthday. The concert was so much fun, and Ciera had a great time at her very first concert!

The library has some very fun summer programs.  One of the tween programs was making fashion from trash bags, newspaper, and other stuff.  Brooke and Autumn went, and ran into friends, and worked on Autumn's trashion!  They did awesome!

Girls Camp 2016

I was called as the assistant girls camp director this year, and was able to go to girls camp the week right after school got out.  It was hot and humid, but not as bad as it has been in years past.  We had a large cabin up front, and had a week full of fun and learning.  Ciera was a 1st year Youth Camp Leader (YCL), and was in charge of a Spanish unit.  She was not with our ward most of the time, so I didn't see her as often as I saw Chloe.  We had a lot of fun as leaders too... it was Torrie Denny, Kindra Ulberg and I from our ward.  Dave got to come up for ward day in place of bishop (who was in France!) which was fun! I am looking forward to next year when Brookie gets to join us!

End of the School Year Happenings

I was able to chaperone Autumn's field trip to the Dallas Arboretum for the 3rd grade field trip.  It was hot, but really fun to see her having fun!  We only had small groups for each parent, so I only had Autumn and two of her friends.  The Dallas Arboretum is a great place!

Ciera, Chloe, Brooke, and Autumn all did really great this school year.  There were awards ceremonies, and we were able to celebrate how hard they all worked. We are so proud of all our girls!
