Halloween Part 2

Our ward Trunk or Treat was on Wednesday, October 29th.  All of the girls got to dress up, even the older ones!  The Young Women were having a costume contest and games during the activity.  Ciera ended up with Prettiest Costume.  All of the girls were so cute and got a TON of candy!  It was fun!

We always try to carve pumpkins the day before Halloween... last year we did it early and the pumpkins were FULL of mold by the time Halloween rolled around.  So, we did that on the 30th this year again.  It is always fun to watch the girls scoop out the "guts"!  They all did a great job designing (and Cici and Chloe, carving) their pumpkins this year!  They are in order, left to right, Autumn, Brooke, Chloe, Cici.  (Chloe's is a koala... the large oval is it's nose!)  How fun!

Brooke and Autumn had Crazy hair day at school... this is what we came up with.  Those are some CRAZY girls!

Halloween, Part 1

We had a Trunk-or-Treat at Provident Metals, and Autumn, Brooke, and Chloe got to dress up and collect a lot of candy!  It was fun to hang out, eat pizza, and see all the cute kiddos in their costumes.  I think my girls were the absolute cutest!

My Best Friend's Birthday

Happy Birthday Dave!!  I can't believe that you are 39... so old!  :)
I love Dave so very much, and I am so glad that he was born! (Because the crazy guy doesn't like cake so much, I made him pies!  Lemon Merengue, Pumpkin, and Pecan... Yum!)

Singing and Pirates

Chloe had her first choir concert of the year... it went really well.  Chloe's choir sang 3 songs, and Chloe was the "line leader" on and off the stage...  We are very proud of her!

Brooke had a speaking part in the 4th grade musical, "How to be a Pirate".  She was so cute, and they all did a great job!  It was fun to watch!

October Happenings

Our October was really busy, and we had some newsworthy things happen...

Chloe got braces.  She was excited... until the pain set in.  She ate a lot of soft foods for a few days!

I took Brooke and Autumn out for ice cream one night while Ciera and Chloe were at Young Women's... just because.  It was fun!

I made spirit wear for Ciera, Chloe, and myself to wear to Ciera's games and competitions!  I think they turned out pretty great!

Ciera had an 80's day at school... she looked pretty authentic!

We had a service project cleaning up at the Wylie Cemetery... a lot of people from our ward were there... it was a nice morning!

Marching Band Competitions and Halftime Shows

The month of October brings a lot of busy times for a high school freshman marching band member... Ciera had football games almost every Friday all month, and 3 Saturday marching competitions in a row. plus the Homecoming parade.  It was really busy, but I have really enjoyed watching Ciera, and the entire band, learn and grow.  They have done really well at their competitions, and Ciera has become quite good at what she does.  We are really proud of her!
