Happy 40th to Me!

For my 40th birthday, Dave took me out to a chinese restaurant that we had never tried before. It was really yummy! I love going out with my sweetheart!  I can't believe that I am 40!  I hope that I have many more years with this handsome guy!

Back to School 2016

My sweet girls are back to school!  I can't believe how much they are growing up... and how fast time goes!  Ciera is a junior (holy moly!), Chloe is a freshman (woah!), Brooke is in 6th grade (yikes!), and Autumn is in 4th grade (Ahhhhhhh!)!  My cute girls are getting so big!  I hope they all have a wonderful year!

Bedroom Makeover

Since the hailstorm destroyed Chloe's bedroom in April, and we had to get repairs made, we decided to switch Ciera and Chloe's rooms around.  Ciera got the room that needed repairs (which the carpet and painting were done this month!!), and Chloe got the back bedroom.  We gave it a makeover... and it turned out great!

Summer's Last Hurrah!

When we had Tanner and Hannah here, we bought a family membership to the Dallas Zoo.  It is great... now we can go whenever we want!  I took the girls for an end-of-summer adventure.  We had fun.  The weather was not too hot (miraculously), and it actually misted a bit.  The animals were active and out to see.  It was a great day!

Finished Headboard!

Dave finished our headboard... It looks so good!  He made us side tables to go with it too!  What a guy!

Tanner and Hannah (part 2)

We went to the Wylie Rec Center and played on the climbing wall and played ping-pong a couple of times.  It was fun!  We also took the kids to the Dallas Zoo one day.  It was really hot and humid, and the kids were so tired of walking by the end, but it was fun!  We finished the day with ice cream at Braums!  Yum! We really enjoyed Tanner and Hannah's visit and can't wait to see them again soon!!

Tanner and Hannah Visit (Part 1)

Tanner and Hannah flew out for a visit for the first week in August!  It was so fun to have them visit.  We ate at Smashburger one day (yum!) and went ice skating.  It was their first time on the ice... they did great!  The session was 2 hours, and by the end they were all ready to go, I think!  Dave was building a headboard for us, and so he had Tanner help him out in the garage a bit.  It was fun to watch them working!
