Tanner and Hannah (part 2)

We went to the Wylie Rec Center and played on the climbing wall and played ping-pong a couple of times.  It was fun!  We also took the kids to the Dallas Zoo one day.  It was really hot and humid, and the kids were so tired of walking by the end, but it was fun!  We finished the day with ice cream at Braums!  Yum! We really enjoyed Tanner and Hannah's visit and can't wait to see them again soon!!

Tanner and Hannah Visit (Part 1)

Tanner and Hannah flew out for a visit for the first week in August!  It was so fun to have them visit.  We ate at Smashburger one day (yum!) and went ice skating.  It was their first time on the ice... they did great!  The session was 2 hours, and by the end they were all ready to go, I think!  Dave was building a headboard for us, and so he had Tanner help him out in the garage a bit.  It was fun to watch them working!

Blood Drive

I went to donate blood, and took Ciera with me.  She really wanted to donate... I was worried that she wouldn't be able to for some reason or another.  But, she did it!  I actually only filled a half pint before I had them stop it.  The lady didn't get my vein right, and after trying to move the needle around a bunch, and it hurting badly, I stopped.  But, Ciera did it just fine!  I am proud of her for being so brave!

Chloe's Headboard

Dave helped Chloe make a headboard for her bed... She chose a design, and they executed the construction together.  I then helped her with the paint.  It turned out so cute!!

Thank You Firefighters!

Autumn had the idea to make cookies for the firefighters at the station right by our house to say "Thank you"!  We delivered them, and they gave us a tour of the station, and let the girls get in the fire engine.  Autumn and Ciera were the only ones brave enough to do it! :)

Family Vacation to Utah

We drove to Saint George and met Suzanna's family, and Grandma and Grandpa Tanner, who brought Tanner and Hannah.  We had fun hanging out, swimming, hiking, and catching up!  After that, we drove up to Logan, with a stop at Temple Square.  During our drive there, we played a fun game where we got random items every time we stopped at a gas station to fill up... we drew papers from a hat, and HAD to get that item.  Some items were normal, like a pack of gum, keychain, or candy. Some were more weird, like a gas-station food item, or personal care item.  It was fun! We love our time in Utah!!

Happy Independence Day!

We went to our friends, the Dennys, for a BBQ, swimming, and fireworks.  It is fun when we get together with good friends.  We love our country, and love to celebrate our freedom and liberty!  I am so thankful to live in such a wonderful place... where we have the ability to choose and live as we want!  Happy birthday America!
