Trek... for a while!

Over Spring Break, the youth 14 and up got to go on trek.  They all dressed up as pioneers and pushed handcarts over some pretty rough terrain.  Ciera got to go, and Chloe missed it by a few weeks... she was bummed! Unfortunately, there was a severe storm that blew over the area that they were trekking and they had to evacuate.  They were able to meet at the stake center the next day for some activities, and finish their trek experience.

Selfies, Craziness, and Furniture

Brooke and I are getting better at taking selfies... it is fun when you get some that turn out good!  We finally got furniture for our front room! For FHE one night, we had a yummy lemon cake, and were reminded that family is forever! For YW, Dave and Neal had facials from the young women... Haha!  Chloe's hair gets a little crazy when she takes it down sometimes, it is so curly naturally

Happy 11th Birthday Brookie!

I can't believe that Brooke is 11!  It seems like just yesterday that she was a little chubby baby!  FOr her birthday, we took her to Panda Express, and to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda 3.  It was fun!  She wanted an ice cream cake for her cake this year... so I made that for her. We love Brooke! She is such a smart, sweet, cute, happy, loving girl.  We are so glad to have her in the family!

Valentine's Day and Daddy-Daughter Ball

For Valentine's Day, I made heart pancakes.  They were yummy.  Autumn's school had a daddy-daughter dance, and Autumn really wanted to go.  SO, being the great dad that he is, Dave took her.  He said that Autumn had fun dancing with her friends, and there were a couple of slow songs that the girls danced with their dads.  I am so glad she had fun!

Mardi Gras

We always do something fun for Mardi Gras!  This year was no different.  I made King Cake, and Gumbo.  (Chloe got the coin in the king cake again!) We watched The Princess and the Frog, and ate beignets.  I love doing fun things and building memories with my girls!

Awards and Teeth

The girls all did well in their first semester of school this year!  Brooke and Autumn both got awards. (Unfortunately I only got pics of Autumn.) We are so proud of them all!!  Brookie got off her phase-1 braces, and now has a retainer to wear.  She is so cute!

Fifth Grade Adventure Camp

Brooke went to 5th grade camp!  I don't like that she is old enough to go away for 3 days on her own.  She had a lot of fun, and her teacher sent pictures while they were there.  I missed her a lot, and I am so glad that she came home safe!
