More Progress...

It seems like every time we go to look at the house, something else is completed.  We went today, and the light fixtures, switches, faucets, etc were on!  It looks so good!  I am getting so excited!

Spring Break Starts off with a BANG!

Our Spring Break started with sickness.  The little girls had orthodontic consultations on Monday, and Autumn started complaining of a stomach ache while we were there.  (Note: We had plans to go camping Tuesday to Wednesday... we were looking forward to it!)  After we got home, Autumn still was not feeling well, and she threw up ALL OVER!  She continued to throw up all evening, keeping nothing down- not even water.  At about 1:00 am, Chloe woke up throwing up.  At 5:30 am, Ciera and Brooke had joined the fun.  They all had fevers and couldn't eat or drink.  By the afternoon on Tuesday, they had started to improve.  They kept water, Gatorade, Saltines, and a few spoonfuls of chicken noodle soup down.  Wednesday, they were mostly back to normal...  So much for a fun Spring Break!  At least they didn't have to miss a lot of school! (I am sure they would have preferred that!)

Randomness

Brooke and Autumn had a birthday party that was 80's themed.  It was fun dressing them up and styling them in the fashions I found so cool when I was their ages!  How radical!

School Happenings

Before Spring Break started, the girls had some events at school.  Brooke had a show during her Gifted and Talented class for her schoolmates.  They had been working on making a dinosaur and creating a presentation about it.  She worked with another student, and they were really excited about their dino!

Autumn was supposed to have her 2nd grade musical the week that we had ice days, so it was postponed... then we had a snow day on the day it was moved to!  They ended up doing it at an assembly at school in the morning on Friday, and will do it again in the evening of Monday the 16th, after Spring Break.  It was really cute.  Autumn had a speaking role- She nailed it!  :)

Snow Day #3

Last week we had 2 snow/ice days that the girls had no school. We had one that was a delayed start, and another that was a "if you want to pick up your kids early, feel free" day. Mother Nature has been slamming us with icy, cold weather. This week, the start of the week was fine, but Wednesday afternoon (yesterday) a cold front pushed its way in, turning the rain into "freezing rain", then sleet, then snow. School was cancelled for today. We awoke to a white wonderland. There was about 3-5 inches of soft snow on top of a layer of ice. The girls were in heaven. At least for a little while. (We have no real winter gear any more!)

Hurray! It is back to school tomorrow. (Although we have "spring" break next week. It isn't even spring yet!  Funny!)

Home Progress

Even with the snow and ice recently, the house is still making progress!  We have cabinets, and tile now!  The grout is just being done, and we have no countertops, but there is progress nonetheless!  It is getting so exciting!
